Adding Depth

Got a bit more definition with darks today, along with pushing out the stars. The piece is finally starting to sculpt itself together. I was worried there for a bit on how the two sides where going to mingle. :P

This is really taking on some life now Sara -- and now the scatteredness in the composition doesn't bother me since the sun is creating such a big light source and effectively making two balanced sides out of the image. Looks awesome!!

This looks awesome. I like how you have blended the rays of the sun into the night sky. I also like how the rays touch upon the little winged child. The swing in the back is a little hard to distinguish. Maybe when you paint it, it may pop more. I love your choice of colors here.

Looks like it's really coming along! I like it so far!

One small thing - the fairy on the left hand side - it almost looks like he's balancing on tip toe on the bright sun circle...is he supposed to? Or is he supposed to be floating?

If he's supposed to be dancing across it, then nevermind - otherwise it seems like he should be moved up or down so his foot doesn't tangent (or look like he's standing on it)...

Sara, it looks great! You're able to create such luminance, and that's not easy! I'm with Carmen: I wasn't sure how you were going to pull off the space in the middle, but with color it looks really balanced.
