My iPad drawings

I created these on my iPad in Sketchbook Pro on Thanksgiving Day.
The iPad is not an easy thing to draw on. It's like drawing on glass with a marshmallow tipped pencil. But Sketchbook Pro is the bomb! For iPad it works great and on my computer it's the closest thing to drawing on paper.

They look really nice...and very loose. I particularly like the lack of outlining in the pointing guy. Great use of light to define the border.

They look great!

Thanks Pete, when working on iPad there is no good way to draw an outline or ink a drawing...the things just too, clumsy so I have to draw scratchy like this.

Hey Steve! Always terrific to see some more monsters! I like the scratchy style...is using an ipad just like a cintique? Or is the drawing capability not as solid?

I was thinking of getting something like that (or a tablet pc) because it'd be a great and powerful sketchbook...

I have tried both and both and have not found on that I like. I bought a tablet PC and it was clunk and slow and if you try to draw outside there is a terrible glare on the screen. The iPad doesn't have pressure sensitivity so drawing is a pain on that thing too. I bought the iPad for getting and responding to e-mails, reading the paper and searching the web in an easy fashion which iPad does so amazingly well. I think in five years there will be a good portable drawing computer.

Good to hear - I'm still holding off because I only want it if it's Cintique like (which I'm still getting used to...I always default to my little 4x6 wacom). But hopefully it's something the nerds at the computer companies can eventually figure out...
