Just a sketch

Just a little sketch I am working on. Trying a new way to work on my paintings with a highly rendered sketch. Stay tuned to see the finish piece.

Love what you have so far. I went to a SCBWI conference recently and an artist (Ruth Sanderson) talked about how she is doing tight sketches and printing them out on art paper on her printer. There are some with archival inks. Then she is prepping the paper and painting in oils on the paper. Her work is really incredible. Your rendered sketch reminded me of her talk.

Hey! I was some of this on your blog videos! Those are cool. I get really entranced in peoples' "how I got here" stories. The schoolism site looks really interesting.

I like the start!

Thanks for the comments. Yes, this is my first work with the tight pencil sketch. I was watching Matt Busch videos on You Tube and I realized that I am more comfortable with drawing than painting. Develope the drawing as much as I can before i paint.
