Happy 2010

So Happy New Year artists. I wanted to know what everyone's New Years resolutions are this year. mine are as follows
1. Lose 30 pounds
2. Print my portfolio and send them out to clients that I really want to work with.
3. Self publish my book (more details to come)
4. Go to as many life drawing classes as I can.
5. Improve as an artist everyday
I've read in several motivational books that people that write down their goals are more likely to accomplish them than those that don't. So let's write them down here so we have no excuses not to do them.
This is a new illustration that I am working on. This will be the last image for my portfolio. I felt like I needed one more kid image and I wanted the image to tell a story. This is still very rough so Isaac, let me know if you see any tangents. You're the king at finding those.

Paint Monster

So it turns out that the magazine contest runs until the end of 2010 so I'm not going to wait that long to show the public this image. I'm also using it for my own portfolio that I should be sending to the printer next week. It's an eight page portfolio that shows all my work for 2009. I will have them for sale on my website store too for a very cheap price and the cost of shipping if any one wants to purchase one.

Walt Disney Tribute

This is my tribute piece to Walt Disney and man that I really admired when I was a kid growing up. I'm sure every artist has had some influence by Mr. Disney. He was a shrewd business man and a real dreamer. The hardest thing to paint was Mickey, he's always been the hardest cartoon character for me to draw.
