Thanks guys for the critique. I was confused as to what was bothering me about this illustration and you hit it right on the nose. There was way too much blue in the piece.
Hey, this is great Steve! Sorry I didn't make it on in time for your earlier version, but sounds like everyone gave you super advice. That dusky olive green really makes the blue monster pop. I love his little wings and quizzical expression!

Hey, I was reading a story to my son before his nap about 5 minutes ago and realized you illustrated the book!!! "Max and Tiny: My Big Buddy." Wow! Small world...we've had the book for 3 years! Nice work, by the way. I told my son, "Hey, I know this guy!" Though you might like to know!

Thanks man, that was a book I did really early in my career. I proposed it as a book but it was turned into 4 board books.
