IF: Poise - Adelia
It's been forever since I've posted a new image - I've been so busy with a couple of projects. It's been horrible. But I wanted to create something for today's illustration friday...and when i thought of poise, I immediately thought of a tight rope walker...and there's no better daredevil than my Adelia character. That's not true, but I still wanted to do something with this character...
Now this was a really rough drawing that I quickly cleaned up - I like it, but wanted to know what you all thought. And I'm not so concerned with color right now, but composition...does it work?

Hey, Isaac.
I enjoy your choice in vantage point. I like the "worm's eye view," because it feels interesting and I don't see this view very often.
I also feel that the character is balance within the composition. The tightrope and balance bar angles create nice movement in the piece. I could also see moving Adelia down on the page and revealing more sky but I don't know if it's necessary. I DO know that I like what you have as it is.
Quick things that I noticed were differing arm/hand sizes and a lack of joint movement in Adelia's right thigh...that leg feels rigid to me.
Also, I think that leaving this amount of open sky might make the overall image feel kinda empty. Indicating treetops or birds might help to fill it in a bit.
Glad to see Adelia is enjoying her high-risk sports!
