I have all sorts of ideas about this but I wanna hear what you have to say...this just might be the last piece for my show...as it's starting this friday...

Dude, is he giving the Skunk the classic "Underdog" push? :) That's what we called it at my elementary school - running completely underneath the swing and letting Isaac Newton do the rest. You guys may remember it as something else, but either way, that's awesome!

I really like the action of the piece, but it's reading unclear to me. From the chain of the swings, it looks like he's falling vertically...and is anticipating some pain. Straightening the chains, slightly, and moving him closer might help. Also, his chains might be too long. I'm trying to imagine where he'd be if he was at rest.

I like the direction of this one. Are you planning on adding any playground equipment around them (teeter totter, slide, etc)? You mentioned this one was pretty early in the planning stages.

The skunk's body is perfect in mid flight! I wouldn't change it at all!

Hey, you're almost at the finish line! Keep on runnin"!

I just read your blog entry on this piece. Now it makes more sense. The looseness of the swing, I think, is appropriate, as he's probably having a mini-stroke and/or heart attack. I had no idea that people got pushed without any warning. That's a great idea and one I would have utilized to the fullest on the playground!

Yeah - the background is a little bare - I think I almost have to add a slide and/or tree or something - maybe even both...

And you got the 'underdog' push thing correct - only, as I said in my blog, this was more of a surprise attack...I had this piece in mind with a second one where the skunk is sitting all dejected because nobody is there to push him, but you can see the panda peeking over the back wall...I haven't done that piece - but wanted to call it something like, "be careful what you wish for" - only the consequence of the two pieces aren't really enough of a payoff...so that piece was never drawn past sketching...

This piece is a lot of fun! Whew, you have done so many pieces for this show. I love both characters' expressions -- I think Skunk is in for a rude yank to the ground any second now! Lots of good energy to this.
I was thinking instead of a dirt area, it could be sand instead -- that way you could make little hills and valleys in it and thus add more texture and dimension to the ground. It does look rather sparse. Adding a swing and tree sounds like a great idea, too.
Now, did that panda get a sound talking to for such behavior? :P
